Who we are

HeARTh Social Profit Company is a social profit business emerging to fill important gaps in community care in the Grande Prairie and Central Alberta.

We have developed a model of care based on a combination of Aboriginal teachings, the Medicine Wheel, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and a philosophy of Outward Accountability, Self-Reliance and Sustainability. We have a way of operating and a delivery system that gets people out of current and limiting boxes to discover new possibilities in the ART of "being".

Outcome

A person-centred, empowering, holistic, sustainable, and effective community care framework that allows participants to achieve wellness goals and develop or maintain well-being, dignity, satisfaction, and "thrive-ability."​

We aim to empower, inspire, and flex with the growth and forward movement of our participants in meeting their needs, achieving their goals, and supporting them in developing as much independence as possible.

What we do

We offer safe, supported housing and in-community supports to people who require it. We provide 24 hour support, support home, and independent living supports as well as respite. We also run a day program that offers community access, employment, art and expression, social connection and integration opportunities. We operate a safe and inclusive community space, "the SHOP" where we offer community integration, social experiences, and learning workshops. We are in the process of developing some social benefit businesses at the SHOP and are always exploring other opportunities to provide flexible and supportive employment and income possibilities. Our purpose is to help our participants meet their goals. We are always engaging in collaboration and community development to expand integration and opportunities for personal, social, and professional development for our participants.
